Inspired by a client, who was interested in a companion piece for his Pushing the Rock buckle, James Christian created the original, beautifully executed cuff in August of 2019. 

The “Pushing the Rock" series represents a realization that sometimes it seems everything is needed to make permanent and lasting change.  Whether business or marriage or children, or even Covid19, one needs to address the same task persistently to get the desired outcome, there's no letting up.   

 The bracelet itself is made from a sheet of Sterling silver, bordered on the sides by an 18k yellow gold half round border.  Inside the border are 18k yellow gold and sterling silver alternating triangles, the structure is formed with platinum wire.  On the right side of the bracelet is a solid platinum James Christian jester, and a succession of diamonds going right to left, top to bottom, ending with two excellent quality white diamonds making up a semicolon on the left side.  The bracelet measures 1” tall, and the inside diameter is 6.5.  The bracelet is signed a James Christian original.  There is an inscription on the inside reading “Pushing the Rock” by James Christian. 

As with the Pushing the Rock buckle, the rocks (diamonds) get smaller and increase in quality as they are pushed up the steep hill.  At one end of the cuff is the James Christian jester in platinum, the other end features a semicolon made of platinum with 2 white diamonds.

The significance of the semicolon addresses the philanthropic nature of Pushing the Rock series, as a portion of the sales are donated to the Project Semicolon.  Project Semicolon is an organization dedicated to the prevention of suicide..."your story is not over"
